Welcome Message

The central theme of INNC 2026 is “Nursing Innovations for Global Health: Shaping the Future of Healthcare Delivery”, highlighting its vital role in the dynamic and essential realm of global research. The healthcare paradigm advanced from empiric and phenomenological through evidence-based and person-centered medicine to personalized, preventive, predictive, participative precision medicine (P5M), considering the individual health status, conditions, genetic and genomic dispositions in personal social, occupational, environmental and behavioral context. Thereby, we must include actors from multiple domains with their own methodologies, languages, ontologies, education and skills, communication and cooperation. One important domain is the Policy Domain, controlling the behavior of the system from an ethical perspective and thereby guaranteeing the usability and acceptability of the solution.

The result is a highly dynamic, complex, context-aware, multi-disciplinary transformed healthcare ecosystem. Also our domain of behavioral health, psychiatry, and addiction medicine must be considered from the perspective of P5M as system of systems. For comprehensively and correctly managing the business process of diagnosis, treatment, recovery and quality of life, we have to understand and to represent the ecosystem, using a system-theoretical, ontology-based, policy-driven approach. That way, we enable comprehensive communication and cooperation of all actors involved including the subject of care. The related model and framework has been standardized in ISO 23903 Interoperability and Integration Reference Architecture. Because of its formal and foundational nature, the methodology is not restricted to health and social care, but has been successfully deployed already in many other domains.

We look forward to an exciting and productive conference.
