Title: Scaffolding simulation experiences for the classroom:

Abstract

As nursing education evolves to meet the demands of complex clinical practice, innovative teaching strategies are needed to actively engage learners and promote clinical reasoning. This presentation explores practical approaches to integrating simulation-based activities into classroom settings, specifically designed for small-group student presentations on key nursing concepts. Drawing from best practices in experiential learning and simulation pedagogy, the session will demonstrate how low- to medium-fidelity simulation scenarios, role-play, and concept-based case design can be adapted for peer-led learning. Participants will learn methods to scaffold simulation experiences that align with course objectives while remaining feasible in resource-limited environments.
