Title: Innovations in AI in nursing informatics: Challenges and future directions

Abstract

This talk will describe five main areas that are currently AI driven Innovations in Nursing Informatics. The benefits, and potential barriers and future directions will also be identified. The session will end with case studies showing the impact of guidelines or standards on AI content in Nursing Informatics.

• The key take away is that nurses should be involved in AI integration into their EHR and their healthcare environments.
• Faculty and educators will be challenged to educate and train students and staff through Continuing Nursing Education about leveraging AI tools, how to interpret outputs, and how evidence-based Nursing Content drives nursing AI applications.
• A case studies will interpret how the audience can apply AI innovations in their work environments.
