Biography

Marta Alfonsa Dehesa Fontecilla is a Nurse and PhD in Health Sciences, with more than 25 years of professional experience in Primary Care, where she currently works as a nurse in a health center in Cantabria, Spain. Her professional activity combines clinical practice with university teaching, and since 2021 she has been a lecturer at the Escuela Universitaria Hospital Mompía, affiliated with the Universidad Católica de Ávila (UCAV) , where she develops training lines in healthcare management, health ethics and legislation, gerontology, teaching innovation, scientific methodology, and digital competencies applied to health. She has served as Deputy Director of Nuberos Cientifica , the professional journal of the College of Nurses of Cantabria, and is an Expert in the Evaluation of Continuing Education Activities for Health Professions at the Directorate-General for Regulation, Pharmacy and Inspection of the Ministry of Health of the Government of Cantabria. She is also a member of the Primary Care Advisory Council of Elsevier , actively participating in the review of scientific papers and providing methodological and technical guidance. She has scientific articles published in national and international journals, as well as contributions to book chapters and scientific communications. She has participated in numerous nursing conferences, both national and international, as well as in teaching innovation conferences, where she has presented work related to training, care quality, and process improvement in healthcare. This trajectory reflects a sustained commitment to research, knowledge dissemination, and the strengthening of nursing leadership.
